In 2010, after traveling across the continent, getting to know it, and falling in love with it, we decided to bring this beauty to you as well. We knew we didn’t want to establish a conventional tour company—we wanted to offer real journeys. Following a standard tourist route may be acceptable in Europe, but in South America—because of the depth of human relationships, cultural richness, and powerful nature—choosing a route that steps at least somewhat outside the tourist crowds and truly speaks to the traveler creates a completely different experience.
That’s why we chose to serve people who understand that traveling through South America like you’d visit a museum—without reaching its essence—misses the point. Since 2012, Vamoss Travel is offering real journeys in South America. We are specialized in customized traveling experiences for South America lovers.
We get in direct touch with individuals or groups who intend to come to these lands in order to understand their motivations and priorities, and to grasp what kind of expectations they have regarding the experience they are seeking—destinations, comfort conditions, and the pace of the journey. In line with this, on the routes we design specifically for each trip, we travel together with the group.
We do not operate through agreements with any hotels, restaurants, or other companies or individuals.
Before the trip, we conduct one-on-one orientation sessions with participants (online). In this way, we create the journey together, and during the preparation process you have the chance to ask all your questions about technical matters.
During the trip, you already receive one-on-one service. Because we are a small group, we travel in a much more intimate way. Our journeys are companionate journeys; they are not for spectators. Do not just watch it, we want you to be part of the experience.
We want you to look once more—before taking a photo—and to feel it.

The aim of what we are building is to create a well-held, thoughtfully structured living space—one where everyone who arrives can take part in life here and in the spirit of sharing with ease; a meeting place where we produce, learn, enjoy, and heal together. As Vamoss, we offer a shared living space in Peru for those who feel called to come and enter into a deep experience.
What happens here goes beyond a simple accommodation stay. Alongside your own private space, you share a communal living area; you witness village life up close, and the way Quechua communities live at these high altitudes. For those who stay with us for less than a week, we do not expect participation in communal work—we simply do our best to make your experience as comfortable and effortless as possible.
Here, we eat as organically and naturally as we can. Our kitchen carries many of the region’s special nuts, superfoods, seeds, and fruits.
In our former place—our experimental home base (also known as the Vamoss Home)—we hosted more than a thousand people since 2012. Now, we are serving from our own land, in our village.
Short stays (2–6 days):
Beyond the one-to-one support we offer—and the friendship we will naturally build—both the touristic and spiritual guidance we provide become additional gifts of your stay.
In essence: you are coming to friends who live in South America—Peru, the Andes, the Sacred Valley—while also receiving a qualified, professional service.

Short stays
2–6 days
You visit us and add a beautiful color to your journey; you have a comfortable private space; you come closer to Peru’s culture and nature. You can receive guidance for your inner and touristic journeys here. In a light way, you support the work by contributing to simple communal tasks (even something as small as watering the garden). You receive 5% off on activities held in Vamoss Village.
Mid-length stays
7–30 days
You come for a deeper experience—you may detox, and you can contribute by giving a talk, organizing an activity, or working in communal tasks. You receive 10% off on activities held in Vamoss Village.
Long stays
1–3 months
You take a real place within the community; you carry responsibility, support our productions, and gift yourself a lived communal experience in one of the most special corners of a place like the Sacred Valley. You receive 15% off on activities held in Vamoss Village.

The benefits of traveling with Vamoss can be summarized under seven headings. Namely:
1. Information:
a. Experience:
Especially in a continent like South America, where the internet is still not widely used and no planning is done online, this information is based on experiences that cannot be gained anywhere else.
b. Research:
In a continent with such a distinct way of life, finding the right books and websites to research how things work, reading them carefully, and compiling the information is a time-consuming and demanding process that requires focus. While it might be enjoyable for those with the time, none of us in city life really have the concentration or time to dedicate to this.
2. Financial Advantages:
a. Average Price Information:
Knowing average prices by country and sector, how to calculate a travel budget, and the seasonal trends in prices (such as during Christmas, carnivals, and tourist seasons) ensures your budget holds up in South America.
b. Bargaining:
Just as in many other countries, people in this region view tourists as wealthy and tend to aim for the highest possible price, assuming they have the money. However, knowing the prices and the local bargaining culture can bring prices down to roughly half (and in some cases, as low as one-tenth) of the original amount. Not knowing these prices leads us to compare them with those in our own country, and in this case, given that prices are very cheap on this continent, the margin for error increases significantly.
c. Currency Exchange:
Knowing where to exchange money and where the exchange rate is favorable is crucial information.
d. Counterfeit Money:
Another major issue on this continent is counterfeit money. In particular, money “palm-offed” on tourists can lead to significant financial loss and, at times, even legal problems.
3. Time Management:
a. The Shortest Route:
Time is the most critical factor in trips with limited durations (just as it is in life). Finding the shortest option along the way enhances the experience.
b. The Right Path:
This is a continent where the right path isn’t always the shortest one. Understanding the impact of natural conditions—such as the rain in and around the rainforests—is crucial for minimizing unnecessary time losses.
c. The Right Route:
Route selection can be crucial for directing the flow of energy toward the destinations the team aims to reach. Maintaining our physical and psychological energy at a high level is first and foremost made possible by choosing the right route. If there’s a party, being in the right city over the weekend; after a long hike in nature, relaxing in a hammock by the sea and swimming in turquoise waters—all of this is made possible by choosing the right route.
d. Shopping Stops:
Whether it’s coffee, bus tickets, souvenirs, alcohol, etc., knowing where to buy what and planning accordingly is among the most important information for avoiding wasted time.
e. Unnecessary Waiting/Missing Your Ride:
Knowing when your mode of transportation (whether it’s a bus, motorcycle, or boat) is scheduled to depart and being there at the right time not only prevents unnecessary waiting but also ensures you don’t miss your ride.
f. Time Management During Travel:
Time management during travel is often achieved by knowing when to say “Stop!” to yourself. Since every destination is likely to be beautiful, there may be a need to guide the group.
4. Safe Travel:
a. Dangerous Neighborhoods:
Every area has dangerous zones and specific times when entry should be avoided. Knowing these and planning accordingly is essential for safe travel.
b. Dangerous People:
For someone unfamiliar with the culture, danger often arises in unexpected ways. Sensing or anticipating a potentially dangerous person can prevent you from taking the wrong path or dealing with the wrong people from the very beginning.
c. The Safety of Your Money:
Knowing how to carry and withdraw your money is crucial in this region, where ATMs are scarce.
d. How Insurance Works:
Understanding how your insurance operates and what it covers in the event of a health issue allows you to handle the situation effectively without panicking.
5. Enjoyment:
a. Expectations/Sharing:
Vamoss is not a tour company. We learn about your expectations for the journey, organize everything accordingly, and do our best to meet those expectations. Beyond that, we don’t manage the journey—we become a part of it alongside you.
b. Positive Energy:
Vamoss creates balance on the journey. It takes the lead to ensure the trip runs smoothly and keeps the team energized and in good spirits with its positive energy.
6. Survival in Nature and Camping:
a. Choosing and Procuring the Right Gear:
To ensure our time in nature is enjoyable, hassle-free, and even comfortable, we need the right gear, a love for nature, and knowledge. Inadequate or subpar gear (heavy, low-quality, or impractical) can ruin the camping experience. Someone who goes hungry, gets cold, or is left in the dark becomes restless and exhausted. The solution lies in the right gear and knowledge. Vamoss identifies the team’s every need and ensures the camp runs smoothly.
b. Surviving in Nature:
Surviving in nature requires attention and discipline proportional to the harshness of natural conditions. If you’re trekking in Patagonia—amidst the world’s most beautiful landscapes that renew themselves every 15 minutes—and plan to sleep by the edge of glaciers and cook meals over a fire, the most essential things are experience, attention, and discipline.
7. Photos and Videos:
Documenting your trip is something you might not feel like doing during the journey or might not consider important at the time. However, looking back at those photos and watching those videos after the trip is the simplest way to recall and relive the feelings you experienced in the moment. This way, even if you didn’t take them yourself, you’ll end up with photos and videos that remind you of the journey, the emotions, the places, and the incredible nature of the region.

We’ve had the chance to support South America experiences for a very colorful mix: well-known artists, travelers, diplomats, pilots, businesspeople, doctors, lawyers, volunteers, healers, and more.
Serving is beautiful, of course—but we want to be clear:
People who are not a good fit for working with us include those who:
Only feel safe when receiving service from large corporate companies,
Seek a service model designed solely to provide “pleasure,”
Might perceive the people guiding them as their employees,
Expect to be served in every way, at every hour, simply because they are having a personal experience,
Expect their guide to entertain them throughout the trip,
Cannot accept that parts of the route may not happen or may need to change,
Cannot travel without constantly judging the place they stay, the food they eat, or the service they receive,
Might see themselves as superior because they are financially comfortable,
